Erin Michelle Burnside A.K.A Ejustis, is a rapper and songwriter from Cleveland, Ohio. Erin started rapping at the age of 13 under the stage name, Lady E. She has always had a gifted delivery and way with words through her music. Erin has always had a passion for rapping, and growing up rapped mostly as a hobby. She purely enjoys creating a picture with words that she and her closest friends can vibe to.

During her earlier teenage years, Ejustis and some of her childhood friends created what she calls, "Lost Tapes", where together they would rap all day at parties, family functions, recording sessions or just while hanging out. Most of what was recorded from that period of time is gone, hence why she calls them the "Lost Tapes". She insists that from ages 14-17 she layed down some fire verses that will never be heard.

Coming more into her own as young adult and young woman, she continued to write music sporadically, always revisiting that passion she developed for music at a young age. In 2014, Ejustis crossed paths with a singer & songwriter named, Serenity. Together they made two songs, "Pole Like That" & "So Hard To Say No", which she was featured on.

​

 

Erin began to redevelop herself, not only in her personal life but also in her passions as an artist. So in 2016, Erin left her childhood stage name, Lady E, in relation to her music and became, Ejustis. The process behind her name change is simple, E-Just-Is.

 

Her style of music aligns with different genres, as she likes and can rap to any style of music. She leans more towards a grown and sexy, yet real and inspirational outlook on what she creates in the studio. A couple of her inspirations growing up includes artists like, Lauryn Hill and Drake.

In 2018, Ejustis began working with Shae "SoFresh" Maxwell and became one of the first artist on her up and coming record label, SoFresh Music Ent. They've continued to work together as an in-tune tandem as Ejustis' first mainstream album is being created.
